Nevena Brdarić, from InoSens, presented the Bio-LUSH project delivering an excellent overview of our project’s mission, goals, and recent progress. Nevena demonstrated Bio-LUSH’s innovations in bio-based textile fibers and our commitment to sustainable practices in fiber production.
We also had the pleasure of listening to VTT‘s, Anusha Bhat, who shared a detailed insight into VTT’s innovative spinning method and advanced biomass characterization.
Two of our sister projects also had their spot to shine:
CIRCALGAE, presented by Dr. Amparo Jiménez Quero, showcased how algae waste can be transformed into valuable ingredients using innovative water extraction methods.
Dr. Michael Paper and Dr. Konstantina Karydi presented Project VALUABLE, and elaborated how fungal biomass and chitosan-based adhesives are being integrated into wood-based panels, creating novel uses for what was once considered waste.
The event closed with a keynote by Prof. Dr. Iris Lewandowski, who painted a vision of how Europe can lead the transition to a sustainable bioeconomy.
It was a truly inspiring day with these brilliant speakers leading the way in sustainable innovation. Enjoy the highlights of this event in the gallery below!
